Kleen-Dri Statement

Our response to COVID-19

As a self-employed small business owner, I have been regularly monitoring the government guidance on COVID-19 and what this means for our cleaning business and the health and safety of our workers, suppliers and customers.

Following government guidance, we have taken the difficult decision to suspend all carpet and upholstery cleaning work until this is safe to resume. Moving our focus to our pressure washing service following an encouraging statement from the First Minister this afternoon (Tuesday 24th March):

“We know that for some people, for example, self-employed gardeners or window cleaners. Where there is no contact with other people if they can go about their business safely, then this can be good for the community, and we would encourage them to do so.”

Given that our business offers the public a cleaning service, during a time where adherence with high hygiene standards is essential, especially as customers spend more time at home, I have reviewed our current operations and can offer outdoor cleaning services.

I will be complying with social distancing and hygiene guidelines, have set up contactless payment options and will limit all unnecessary contact with customers.

I appreciate that government guidance is fast-changing, and I endeavour to update this statement if this is required and would like to reiterate that the health and safety of workers, our suppliers and customers is paramount, and will always be considered first.

Kind Regards,

Alistair Morrison,

Managing Director
